The Badger Report
Producer | Associate Producer | Reporter | Photojournalist
The Badger Report is a student-run newscast and part of a video news course offered at UW-Madison.
I served in a variety of newscast roles including Producer, Associate Producer, Reporter, and Photojournalist covering an array of stories across Wisconsin during the Fall 2019 semester. The newscast hit the 20-year milestone during my time with it and the School of Journalism and Mass Communication did a story on our work.
My work on the newscast earned awards from both the Midwest Broadcast Journalists Association and the Milwaukee Press Club. Two stories I directly worked on, “Forward Madison FC” and “Wis. Truck Drivers Fight Against Sex Trafficking” earned awards from the competitions and are featured below.

Wis. Truck Drivers Fight Against Sex Trafficking
Wisconsin truck drivers work to combat sex trafficking by educating themselves on warning signs and reporting practices. They encourage other truck drivers to take action and help provide victim resources such as hotline numbers. Truck drivers hope education and resources are implemented across other states to help end sex trafficking nationwide.
Forward Madison FC
